Some reviews from little people and big people

Updated: Feb 25, 2021

To date we have sent a draft of the first book to a number of professionals and also to the real experts; some children and their families. We have also been in contact with Owlet Press who have offered some advice and encouragement. The testimonials we have received leave us in no doubt that the first book will not only be successful in terms of sales but will also prove to be an immensely useful resource for children, parents and all those involved with the care of young people.

Before we take a look at those reviews, here's a a look at the journey so far:

As you can see, we have come a long way already and although there is some way to go still, we intend to enjoy the rest of the journey and hope you do to. Remember to keep an eye on the Facebook Page and Group to stay involved in any activities we will be doing over the months to come. Lets now have a look at some of the testimonials we have received for our first book on managing anxiety for which we will be launching the crowdfunding project in exactly 13 days (see last weeks blog for an updated on 'Crowdfunding').

Some reviews from big people

"Provided genuine workable solutions to real life issues children have. I thought the characters were good and the techniques were easy to follow and made sense. Well presented."

"This is a great book that helps children visualise how to deal with anxiety and any emotions that are thrown up with stress. Whilst reading it I could imagine each of the characters and how they helped visualise the core of the anxiety and use techniques to help cope with this. As it was written as a story it was much easier to follow and was written in speech that young children can understand."

"Simplified language to explain the "sciency" bit - normalises the experience and the variety of techniques give children different options to try."

"Lovely story of friendship, empathy and compassion to support conversations with children about managing anxiety. Could be used by teachers, social workers, support staff and parents/carers. Easy read for children to use as a reminder of techniques for when they are struggling."

A special review from a special little person

"I like how its called its not magic but it could be and its all about witches and wizards. I love the characters names and how he kept the same picture for the same character throughout the whole story. I love how at the end of the page he does a sciency bit to tell the people who reads it what makes you feel good like exercise endorphin. I like how he said that when you take a deep breath in and a longer breath out it calms you down more and how if you write down five things it makes you happy and wake up in a better mood for the wrest of the day and have no interference. I like how the words James has used make the whole story amazing he used powerful words like Shakespeare used to. The little wizard who is in the story he wants to join in and the girls told him to do a magic trick he is amazing. I just love the story so badly i want an actual copy of it."

Next weeks update

Next week we will be discussing some of the scenes from our first book. How exciting!

Until next time, remember, its not magic.....but it could be
